DigitalHealth.London'Âs Accelerator Programme aims to speed up the adoption of technology in London's NHS, relieving high pressure on services and empowering patients to manage their health.
It works with 20-30 high potential SMEs each year and supports them over 12 months to develop and deploy solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing the NHS and in line with the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan.
The programme, currently in its fourth year, is uniquely positioned to provide in-depth knowledge of the NHS and the wider health care system. It focuses on engagement with clinicians and healthcare experts, working collaboratively to get to the root of challenges and find digital solutions. The programme is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Accelerator Programme Director and Nurse, Sara Nelson, joins Elemental TV on the day of her 28th year of being an NHS employee along with Accelerator alumnus Elliott Engers, CEO and co-founder of Infinity Health. They discuss with Corrie Williams how programmes like the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator Programme is helping to transform health and care in London.
